Hazel
Hazel is a beautiful Black Patched Torbie. Torbie means that she has three colors black, red and creamy white throughout her fur. The term “Patched” refers to her colors being in big color patches on her back and “Tabby” refers to her striped legs and the classic Tabby M on her forehead. She is stunning! I’ve never seen another cat quite like her. Her grandmother was a beautiful red Torbie and her Mother, our Sesame here on our website is a blue dilute Torbie. But Hazel didn’t inherit the dilute gene because it takes two copies to inherit and her father Danny does not have that gene which is why Hazels colors are deep and bright. We are especially excited to see what awesome colors her kittens will be when we breed her with our Red Colby. Hazel and Colby according to their genetics could have Red or Black males and female Reds ( which is rarer because it requires a red copy from both parents) or a Torbie female like herself. Besides her fabulous colors she also inherited a wonderful solid build from our Danny.
I didnt keep Hazel just for her great physical qualties but also because of her endearing, loving and sweet personality. We just adore her. When she was a kitten she loved it when I carried her around with me like a baby all day long, and from that time on she has been my shadow following me everywhere. She loves to snuggle on the couch with me during any TV time and loves her morning snugles. She also watches me like a hawk to see when I might be going towards her food dish because Hazel has a good appetite! She is going to be healthy wonderful Mama when she has her turn.
